Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has once again proved that he’s so much more than just an elite athlete.
When Allen was named the 2024 NFL MVP earlier this year, he received a ton of praise from his peers as well as a personalized message from local patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital in New York.
Although he’s quite busy with his career, he carves out time in his schedule to help out the youth. That was the first clear sign that he’s an MVP on and off the field.
Following this Tuesday’s practice at training camp, Allen had a very wholesome exchange with a few military members. He took off his cap to shake hands with each member before signing some autographs.
It didn’t take very long for footage of Allen’s interaction with these service members to go viral on social media. Countless people raved about him being the perfect role model for young fans.
“Josh Allen, signing autographs after practice, takes ball cap off to shake hands with military members in autograph line. Impossible not to love this guy,” Clay Travis of OutKick said.

“If I wasn’t a die hard Chiefs fan who has lived in KC for 20 years, I’d be a Bills fan. Love that Josh Allen fella,” a second fan wrote.
“An absolute class act. It’s impossible to not like him,” another fan said.
“NOT a Bills fan at all… but Josh Allen is special and really a quality person! Well done sir,” a Dolphins fan wrote on X.
Allen has been the face of the franchise since the Bills drafted him in 2018. That won’t change anytime soon.
Earlier this offseason, the Bills signed Allen to a six-year, $350 million extension. He could’ve asked for more money, but he didn’t want to “kill” the team’s salary cap.
“The way I make sense of it, when you start getting these fairly big numbers throughout the entire league – it’s weird to say this – but what is [$5 million] more going to do for my life that I can’t already do right now? It’s not that crazy to me,” Allen said. “I live a pretty good life. Got a house, got a car. We’re good.”

Allen and the Bills will return to the spotlight on Sept. 7 for their season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
