In 2012, Whitney Houston’s body was found in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel. The 48-year-old singer was determined to have died from drowning, but the medical examiner’s report also said “chronic cocaine abuse” was a contributing factor in her death.

But drug addiction was only part of Whitney Houston’s tragic story, which had a particularly profound impact on her mother, singer Cissy Houston, now 90.

“Whitney suddenly became a huge, uncontrollable drug problem, but Cissy remembers that Whitney seemed more optimistic and excited about life in her final days, ” an anonymous source told Globe Magazine .

“She believed Whitney was getting over her troubles, but was shocked when the autopsy revealed cocaine, Xanax, marijuana and other drugs in her system.

She suspected Whitney had relapsed and that someone had lured her into it. This haunted her.”

Some people suspect that Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston’s ex-husband from 1992 to 2007, was the cause of her downfall.

However, a friend of the couple believes that it was Whitney who introduced Bobby to the drug world. Whitney’s brother, Michael, also admitted that he was a drug addict and that Whitney “followed” him.

Bobby has been clean from heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine for more than 20 years. However, he admits that he and Whitney regularly used drugs in front of their daughter Bobbi Kristina.

After Whitney passed away, she left $20 million to Bobbi Kristina, who was only 18 years old at the time.

However, Cissy was worried that her niece would be taken advantage of by bad people, so she tried to prevent the inheritance of this money but was unsuccessful.

In January 2015, Bobbi Kristina was also found unconscious in her bathtub, similar to her mother. She was put into a coma and died 6 months later at the age of 22.

Bobbi Kristina reportedly used cocaine, morphine, alcohol and anti-anxiety medication before getting into the bath.

“That adds to the tragedy for the family, especially Cissy. She believes Bobbi Kristina was born with the same addiction genes that haunted her mother and eventually suffered the same fate,” the source said.

However, other sources revealed that this double tragedy originated in Whitney’s teenage years, when she had a secret lesbian affair with her best friend Robyn Crawford.

The relationship lasted two years before ending in 2000. According to some sources, Whitney’s Catholic family had a hard time accepting her sexuality and were embarrassed by rumors of her homosexuality.

“Many people think that Whitney only married Bobby to hide the gay rumors, that Robyn was the real love of her life.

And if she could have made that public, maybe she wouldn’t have fallen into the spiral of addiction and would still be alive today,” the source added.

Today, Whitney Houston’s music still brings in millions of dollars a year, which is split between Cissy, Michael and Gary Garland, Whitney’s half-brothers.

However, sources say they would give it all up just to have Whitney Houston back in their lives.
