The pair wed in a secret ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, this past weekend, and photos of the two on the beach doing a photoshoot were leaked by TMZ. And these wedding details remind fans of another wedding: Theroux’s wedding to his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston.

While the only things we know about Theroux and Bloom’s wedding is that it was in Tulum and private, it’s remarkably close to his one with Aniston. While they wed in their backyard in Bel Air, California, they also kept their wedding more on the private side. Around 70 people were invited, only their close friends and family, per Iconik.

Aniston and Theroux were together from 2011 to 2018, marrying in the summer of 2015. Despite breaking up after three years together, they remained pals, but it’s unclear what she thinks about his new nuptials.

Speaking of, Theroux and Bloom were first linked together in early 2023, confirming the rumors in Aug 2023. One year later, he popped the question!

Now, while it’s unclear what she thinks of their nuptials, insiders allege she had a rather heartbreaking response to their engagement. According to Life & Style, “When he and Jen got married, she truly thought he was going to be her forever guy. They were a good match, and Jen hasn’t had the easiest time letting go of what they once had.” She believed they “could possibly reconcile someday” because of their substantial friendship.
