Since Elon Musk entered the Donald Trump administration as a close advisor to the US president, shares of electric car company Tesla have fallen for seven consecutive weeks, closing at $270.48 per share on March 7. This is Tesla’s longest losing streak since the company went public in 2010.

Tesla shares fell 28% in February from the previous month, marking the biggest monthly decline since December 2022. As a result, Elon Musk’s net worth also fell more than $100 billion in the month to $312 billion as of now, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.

Despite the negative developments above, in a recent post on X, Elon Musk still expressed confidence in the long-term prospects of the world’s largest electric car company.
